Travel isn’t just about new places, new people, and new experiences, its also a soul searching adventure - on which I am hooked! My latest adventure takes me to Eastern Canada, starting in Montréal, Québec. My driving route will follow le fleuve Saint-Laurent (Saint Lawrence River) to Québec City, and onto Québec’s spectacular Gaspesie (Gaspé Peninsula), before I drive further east to Canada’s four Maritime provinces - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador. Today’s photo feature was taken at la Roche Percé (Percé Rock), one of Québec’s most iconic natural wonders, on the easternmost tip of the Gaspesie. More updates to come, as I continue to Canada’s Atlantic coast. #travel #perce #gaspesie #quebec #canada

I did it!!! I’ve finally fulfilled my long standing dream to drive to the great Arctic Ocean. I drove not one, but BOTH of North America’s ONLY two roads to reach the Arctic seas - once via Alaska’s #DaltonHighway to Deadhorse / Prudhoe Bay, and once via Canada’s #DempsterHighway to its NEW northern terminus of Tuktoyaktuk in Canada’s Northwest Territories (highway just opened in 2017).⠀ ⠀ These are among North America’s most treacherous and dangerous roads, and were both my BEST and WORST travel experiences ever! I look forward to sharing more of my Arctic adventures with you in the days and weeks ahead.⠀ ⠀ #travel #adventuretravel #arctic #alaska #deadhorse #prudhoebay #yukon #nwt #inuvik #tuktoyaktuk

It’s OFFICIAL. Canada became the 2nd country in the world (+ 1st among G7 nations) to legalize #marijuana on October 17. WHAT TO KNOW? ✔️ YES, consumption of marijuana / cannabis for medicinal, personal or recreational use is LEGAL, WITHIN Canada. ✘ NO, it is NOT legal to carry, transport, or ship marijuana / cannabis across the border - but if you find yourself crossing with marijuana / cannabis in your possession, DECLARE it. #CannabisinCanada #CannabisauCanada #CannabisAct #LegalizationinCanada #WeedTheNorth

I love an active political debate, so allow me to introduce you to the ‘ACA’.⠀ ⠀ The ACA would be the largest country on Earth, and its land mass would stretch from the North Pole to the sub-tropical seas. The ACA’s GDP (annual economic output, measured by purchasing power parity) would overtake China to become the largest in the world, and its rich natural resources would encourage a more environmentally sustainable existence for its citizens. ACA citizens would lean slightly liberal (left), but still more conservative than the average citizen of other first world nations. The ACA’s elected governments would typically switch between conservative and liberal majorities every 8-10 years.⠀ ⠀ 1... 2... 3... DISCUSS.
